Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP), also known as the ‘vampire facial’, is a revolutionary treatment that can make your skin look and feel younger simply by harnessing the power of your own blood platelets to stimulate cell growth and rejuvenation.

What is PRP?

First, a small amount of your own blood is taken. Then, the blood is spun in a centrifuge to separate the good stuff, called platelet-rich plasma (PRP). This PRP is loaded with growth factors that can make your skin cells grow and rejuvenate. Next, the PRP is carefully injected back into specific areas of your skin. This helps to regenerate your cells and improve the texture of your skin. The whole procedure usually takes about 30 minutes to an hour, so it’s quick and convenient.

PRP has been shown to effectively  treatment hair loss. When injected into the scalp, these growth factors can stimulate new hair growth and prevent further hair loss. The plasma is injected into the affected areas of the patient’s scalp, where blood supply to the hair follicles have weakened due to medical treatments, illness, menopause, stress or genetic reasons.

PRP regenerates & rejuvenates

The process takes around 45minutes.  First, a small amount of your own blood is taken. Then, the blood is spun in a centrifuge to separate the good stuff, called platelet-rich plasma (PRP). This PRP is loaded with growth factors that can make your skin cells grow and rejuvenate. Next, the PRP is carefully injected or micro- needled back into specific areas of your skin. This helps to regenerate your cells and improve the texture of your skin.

With PRP therapy, there is no risk of rejection or disease transmission, since the platelet solution is produced from your own blood. The treatment carries minimal risk of adverse reactions or complications.
